We’re excited to announce a special collaboration between Dominion Sewing Centre and Heather Pennie of Manitoulin Threads: the Bella Quilt Coat Workshop!
The Bella Quilt Coat blends the art of quilting with the functionality of outerwear. This relaxed-fit jacket is fully lined and features set-in sleeves, inseam pockets, a zippered front closure with guard, and a sporty collar.
Choose from two different views and make your coat completely your own using appliqué, foundation paper piecing, traditional blockwork, or a simpler quilted design. Add ons are available for purchase as well.
Workshop Schedule:
The break between sessions will give participants time to complete some of the quilting and preparation at home before returning for the two full construction days.

The class is suitable for confident beginners through intermediate sewists. You can keep your design fairly simple or challenge yourself with more intricate piecing and details—it’s completely up to you!
The main pattern will be preordered according to your selected size. Optional Bella add-on patterns may also be preordered separately if you would like to incorporate foundation paper-pieced sleeves or other decorative elements.
